Quick Shelf - Show Maya Shelves at Your Cursor

Quick Shelf

A simple script that when the hotkey is pressed creates a floating window of 1 or more Maya shelves directly under your cursor, then hides the window when the hotkey is released. Combing the ease and flexibility of shelves with the efficiency of marking menus!

• Speed up workflow reducing mouse travel, especially on high dpi monitors
• Allows hiding the shelf for a cleaner UI

Installation

1. Add QuickShelf.mel to your scripts folder
2. Add the 'quickShelf_refresh.png' to /maya/<version>/prefs/icons
3. Create a hotkey with the command: QuickShelf;
4. Assign a hotkey to execute the command 'On Press' and 'On Release'
